Def Leppard Cancels Concert Tour
Def Leppard has called off its next round of tour dates with Cheap Trick.
"Due to unforeseen personal matters, the third leg of Def Leppard's North American Tour, set to begin on October 22nd, has been canceled," said a statement issued today (10/16) via Def Leppard's website. "We know how truly blessed we are to have such committed fans. That's why we've agonized over this decision. Even if just a single concert, we don't take cancelling shows lightly, but unfortunately life's commitments need to be the priority."
Refunds are available at the point of purchase, according to the website.
The tour's fall leg was to have gotten underway Oct. 22 in Reno, NV, and was set to run through November.
Def Leppard embarked on the first North American leg of tour with Cheap Trick in June.
Early last year, Def Leppard released "Songs From the Sparkle Lounge," the group's first set of new material since 2002's "X." The new album landed at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and topped the magazine's rock and hard-rock albums charts.
